Muzz Marshall and Coleman Howe, these seasoned veterans, along with Hip-Hop/Urban artist, producer and past ECMA nominee, TROBIZ, launched JAM ON RECORDS, a newly established, east coast record label which promises to bring the finest of talent and artistry of those from within our region to the centre stage, giving focus to mainstream music in genres of urban Hip-Hop, Rap, NeoSoul, Soul/R&B, Jazz, Blues, Gospel and morel “JAM ON RECORDS” looks forward to developing and fostering talent from within the Maritime region with an objective to introduce a fresh new sound globally.

It’s been very difficult to move music out of the Maritimes nationally and internationally in the past, and it is our hope to start a new trend that will open the floodgates and unleash a beast. I’ve heard enough talent and music here at home to create a new source for a monster sound that I consider to be distinct enough to refer to as a HFX sound, more than worthy of international attention” not unlike a Minneapolis, Miami or Southern sound and it’s time to get it out there into the international market. Can I get an Amen!” laughs Marshall.

A prime example of the sound I’m talking about is evident in the stunning works of “TROBIZ” on his greatly anticipated CD “TASTE TEST”.
We can only hope for support and many blessing to achieve enough success to do our region proud” says Marshall.

“Jam on Records” recognizes the support of the Province of Nova Scotia through the Department of Tourism, Culture and Heritage. We are pleased to work in partnership with the Culture Division to develop and promote our cultural resources for Nova Scotians.”
