Raised in Amherst, Nova Scotia, who knew this small town girl would inadvertently rise as an acoustic soulful songstress, to a rhythm and blues superwoman; now exploding as a fierce emcee. Often compared to likes of Lauren Hill and Aaliyah, she brings an old school flavor fused with what she calls, “Pretty Girl Scotian Swag,” a track to be featured on her newest mix tape, Girls Club Music. She exemplifies real talk, real issues and real women. Her songs express her daily struggles in being African Nova Scotian, intended to reach those of a similar background who are just trying to make it through the day.

A very captivating and humorous young lady, MsLiz is most passionate about music and children. As an aspiring entrepreneur, and current Music Business student, MsLiz intends on developing a management company and immediately to follow a foundation for children in the arts. Her goals and motivation are all about giving back, and enabling children and youth the opportunity to dream big, and to have support and funding behind them.

Coming from a musical Nova Scotian family on her mother’s side and a political Congolese family on her father’s, she is naturally musically inclined and also possesses the instincts and intuition to run a successful business. Lyrically engineering her own brand, MsLiz has the potential to make it to the top. Only having begun her musical endeavors in December of 2008, she’s done shows all over the Maritimes and is now booked biweekly along side of the Halifax Hip Hop veterans.

Her nomination of Best Upcoming Artist through the African Nova Scotian Music Association is only the beginning of a lifetime of dedication to music, her community and the world at large; “World Domination 4 World Peace,” is her ultimate vision, “My flows unstoppable...”-MsLiz.
